Holiness through Christ

Holiness is Christ vs Holiness by faith. Holiness produces humility, its own humility. We need Holiness for God to dwell in us and that Holiness is attained through the blood of Jesus Christ who died on the cross for us. The blood of Jesus, accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, imputed to us Holiness that now created an environment for the spirit of the living God to dwell in us. Christ's Holiness gave us the holiness to host God in us. The righteousness of Christ obtained through the cross gave us the ability to approach the throne of God boldly as righteous in the sight of God. I am not guilty in the sight of God because of the blood of the Lamb. I am free!

The Work of Holiness by Faith

The work of holiness by faith then begins with faith in Jesus being our first step to Holiness like a boost in the right direction. Now we study the Word of God and become holy in our daily lives, not by our own strength, but by the Spirit of the Living God. We have help to become holy. Becoming holy as Christ is Holy is not a work assigned to the individual but a work of the Holy Spirit through a willing individual. The desire to be holy and to live righteously must be there and from that desire and willingness to obey the prompting and the conviction of the Holy Spirit, the pruning, cultivation, firing in the furnace process ensues.

A Process of Growth

Most people expect that holiness will begin immediately after baptism, but it is a process, just like the process of learning bad behavior and habits starts from birth through childhood. Believe then that Baptism is the beginning of the healing process, a new birth, so expect that the learning process will take time through a process of unlearning. Be gentle on yourself. You are still growing and unlearning behaviors that you used to protect yourself. As you begin to feel safe in the presence of God you will unlearn; the healing process will continue now until the last trumpet call. Breathe! The result is still VICTORY FOR JESUS! All you need to do is be willing and desire to be transformed. Ask and ye shall receive!
