Humility in our daily life

"He that loveth not his brother whom he sees, how can he love God whom he has not seen?" 1 John 4:20

Humility for believers should not be a posture that we display only in prayer, but should be our posture in our daily life. No pretense or false humility before God. For my daily interactions with my fellow humans display my true character. It is only when I come before God in truth that God can clothe me with the genuine garment of humility that will translate and extend to my daily life.

"“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬ means your true state, the way you are outside the secret place, that I, God, in your genuineness, may be able to impart to you the character that you lack, for I have it in abundance.

Picture this: when a can of fish is opened, it reeks! But it is by opening it that you are able to add spice, seasoning, and herbs so that it can become tasty. So too, God desires for his children to open up to him like a stinky can of fish with all the bones, scales, and guts so that He can remove the guts, bones, and scales and prepare it to be a delicious dish ready to serve.

That you might bear much fruit. God doesn't cut the tree so it can bear fruit. He prunes it, waters it, exposes it to sun, fertilizes the ground it's on. Some seasons it may look bare, but in due time it will bear much fruit, overflow, divine abundance, and multiplication so that all will enjoy the fruits of the tree. The tree is you, and that is God's desire for you: to bear much fruit and come out of lack.

As children of God, come genuinely to the Father so that he may give you what you lack. God is willing and able.

Amen.
