Jesus a source for healing

How do we trust God in a world that elevates self and teaches us that we are our own gods? Trusting can be difficult for some because often the people we trusted are the source of our hurt. I have found that taking time to know Jesus and getting a clear view of Him illuminated a path to healing.

Here is my view of Jesus that helped me heal. God is not like men! A clear view of who God is, His character, and His nature is the tool by which we can heal and be able to place our trust in a source outside of ourselves (Jesus). Jesus is the Son of God; He is Love, Truth, Way, and Life. He, like no man, laid down His life to save the people that hurt and hated Him.

Jesus is Love,He is not loving. He is perfect and flawless. He is sweet and wonderful. He is a defender of the weak. There is no one like Jesus! Jesus is a song in my heart, a Friend, and a Savior. Jesus knows me intimately; He knows my deepest secrets and hurts but still calls me His.

Jesus is a lover of souls, a healer of the brokenhearted. He is patient and kind. Jesus is merciful and so beautiful. Jesus is Grace. Jesus is my Hero. I have been hurt in this life, but never by Jesus. Jesus has only ever come to heal, to give and not take, and to restore me, even when I blamed Him. He came lifted me up and bound my wounds.

Jesus is faithful. He never turns and runs because my mood is displeasing. He draws near to the brokenhearted. He captures my tears and embraces me. He sits next to me, promising to never leave nor forsake me. He says, "Fall, I will catch you," and I know that He will because He does what He says He will do.

Jesus is a space for weeping, a safe space to be broken and shattered because He is a Potter and a Mender and so much more. A clear view of Jesus has been the remedy for my healing. Jesus never leaves you how He found you. He makes me better!
